OUR COMPANY
INTRODUCTION
Coastal Emergency Medical Training & Consulting was created to fulfill the needs of the hard-working emergency medical service agencies, as well as other first responders, as they try to adapt to an ever-changing environment. The COVID-19 pandemic demonstrated more than ever the importance of having engaged and experienced leaders to help guide day-to-day operations in a challenging field. We’re here to help accomplish that.

MICHAEL WESTROL, MD
Dr. Westrol started his journey in emergency services at the age of 16, shortly after the events of 9/11. Though he began as a firefighter, training as an emergency medical technician was not far behind. Throughout college, medical school, and emergency medicine residency, Dr. Westrol continued to work as an EMT. After completing his residency, he continued his training with an EMS & Disaster Medicine fellowship for further specialization, which included a year of physician field response and tactical medicine training with multiple SWAT teams. He is now double board-certified in Emergency Medicine and EMS & Disaster Medicine. As anyone in medicine knows, the training never stops, and Dr. Westrol has continued to enrich his knowledge, including advanced training at FEMA for healthcare emergency management. He has a special interest in event medicine and has several publications on out-of-hospital medicine and event medicine. He also has an interest in consulting for medical film, television, and media with experience being featured on a medical television series.
